Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address client needs effectively.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health concerns, preferences, and treatment goals.
- Develop customized treatment plans based on physiology knowledge, anatomy, and medical terminology to optimize results.
- Provide excellent patient service by creating a welcoming atmosphere, listening attentively, and ensuring client comfort throughout sessions.
- Educate clients on pain management strategies, occupational health tips, and self-care practices to support ongoing wellness.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments administered, patient progress, and any relevant medical information in compliance with privacy standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or med spa staff to coordinate care and enhance client outcomes.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification.
- Proven experience in patient service, patient assessment, and delivering various massage modalities such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy.
- Prior experience working in a med spa or similar setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients professionally and empathetically.
- Familiarity with occupational health principles and pain management techniques.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene practices.
