Job Overview

Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of office spaces, restrooms, hallways, common areas, and specialized facilities using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Operate commercial cleaning tools such as floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and scrubbers to maintain floors and surfaces at optimal standards
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks while practicing safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed
- Maintain sanitation standards by regularly disinfecting high-touch surfaces and ensuring proper waste disposal
- Assist with custodial responsibilities including replenishing supplies, restocking paper products, and maintaining cleaning schedules
- Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs or painting tasks to uphold the overall cleanliness and functionality of the premises
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures
- Skilled in the use of cleaning equipment, vacuums, and other custodial tools
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures to ensure safe use of cleaning products
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting or moving heavy objects or supplies
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed
- Familiarity with sanitation standards, facilities maintenance practices, and safety protocols in a custodial setting
- Ability to work without supervision
