About the Role
A growing facilities services company is looking for a hands-on, standalone HR Manager to take full ownership of the company’s HR function. This person will be the primary HR resource for approximately 200 employees and will oversee everything from recruiting and onboarding to employee relations, benefits, compliance, and HR policies.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is comfortable working independently, making decisions, building processes, and being the go-to person for all things HR. The company is looking for someone who can come in, take ownership, and establish a strong HR foundation rather than work as part of a larger HR team.
Key Responsibilities
- Own all day-to-day HR operations for approximately 200 employees
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee and manager HR needs
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding
- Lead full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, job postings, screening, interviewing, and offers
- Conduct new-hire orientations and oversee the onboarding process
- Handle employee relations matters, conflict resolution, disciplinary issues, and employee concerns
- Manage employee records and HR processes within ADP
- Oversee benefits administration and employee enrollment
- Develop, implement, and maintain company HR policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Partner with managers on performance reviews, employee development, and workplace issues
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records
- Identify gaps in current HR practices and implement improvements
- Act as the company’s subject matter expert and go-to resource for HR
Qualifications
- 4+ years of progressive HR experience
- Strong experience as a standalone HR professional or in a highly independent HR role
- ADP experience required
- Proven ability to independently own the full HR function
- Strong background in employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and compliance
- Solid understanding of federal and state employment regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Strong judgment, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working directly with ownership and senior leadership
What Makes This Role Different
This is not a traditional HR support position. The HR Manager will be the person responsible for owning HR across the organization and will have significant autonomy to establish processes, manage policies, and serve as the primary HR partner to employees and leadership.
