Reports to: VP of Product Development and Technology
Cyber Data Analyst:
zvelo is looking for a data analyst to perform a wide variety of analyses related to phishing detection and web categorization.
The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Analysis of phishing URLs detected by our proprietary AI systems to define phishing campaign intelligence

Audit customer support process data in order to verify decision accuracy

Audit existing cyber intelligence data to identify data quality issues

Help to define potential improvements in analysis pipelines to improve data quality

Leverage existing tools to create updated metadata for phishing detection system

Analyze and label data for AI training. This includes spam email samples, computer vision data, and training data for web categorization systems.

Assist in AI model validation analyses

Write data analysis scripts and tools

On the job training will enable you to learn the necessary skills to perform the above tasks. We expect that you will have the ability to learn from existing process experts.

This position reports to the VP of Product Development and Technology.

Technology based job experience or technical educational background at the college level

Understanding of online threats such as phishing, spam email campaigns, and malware delivery mechanisms

A basic understanding of how the internet works (DNS, basic website development, domain registration processes and lifecycles)

Scripting skills (python or similar), or experience using AI tools to assist you in developing scripts

A passion for understanding data

Ability to learn quickly and work independently. You must be comfortable making decisions on a day to day basis without perfect knowledge.

Good communication skills (both verbal and written) as you will be required to work with various stakeholders including software engineers, AI engineers, and customer support staff

Basic Linux command line experience
