Job Summary
Northland Staffing Solutions is seeking dedicated Warehouse Associates to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is located in Hopkins, MN working on the first shift. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and the ability to operate various equipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems and inventory management software to ensure accuracy and stock integrity
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision using RF scanners, order pickers, pallet jacks, and reach trucks
- Load and unload goods efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and trade compliance standards
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely to facilitate movement of goods
- Conduct data entry related to shipments, inventory updates, and order processing using ERP systems such as AS400 or MRP software
- Assist with shipping logistics by coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping documents, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by stocking supplies, organizing storage areas, and adhering to safety guidelines
- Support e-commerce order fulfillment processes including packaging, labeling, and quality checks
- Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve order discrepancies or delivery issues promptly
- Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle counts to uphold stock accuracy
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment or distribution center is required
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, and inventory management
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for counting, measurements, and data entry accuracy
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and trade compliance practices is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in fast-paced settings
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a physically active role
