Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a wide range of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and cold cuts, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Manage food service customer orders with professionalism, ensuring timely fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace, including food handling areas, kitchen equipment, and retail surfaces, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist customers with product selections, upselling items to enhance their shopping experience and increase sales.
- Handle cash register operations, processing cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
- Restock deli displays regularly to ensure freshness and product availability throughout the shift.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or retail sales within the food industry or grocery store environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions seamlessly.
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively while maintaining a clean workspace.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and effective communication abilities.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and inventory management.
