Skilled Operator (Full-time w/benefits)

Primary duties
As a skilled operator, you will be a part of a team that supports the company’s safety and quality initiatives while supporting an injury-free work environment.

Operate an automated continuous production line and facilitate maximum capacity with minimum downtime.

Abide by job related procedures, work instruction and other guidelines designed to help ensure the quality of the finished product.

Make adjustments to the line process to ensure high quality products using HMI (Human Machine Interface)

Troubleshoot and anticipate problems to correct or prevent interruptions to the line, using powers of observation and hearing, knowledge of formulas and percent mixes of different product, and familiarity/experience with fibers.

Routinely perform preventative maintenance and replace key parts.

Work as a team with other operator and lab technicians on each shift while maintaining communication using verbal skills (hand-off meetings), written skills (emails, logs, reports) and body language.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, Two-year technical degree a plus.

Two years of experience om a manufacturing or technical field, with experience in continuous manufacturing or in a non-woven textile manufacturing a plus.

Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English.

Education and/or experience with the operation of computers-experience with Excel a plus.

Two years of experience or equivalent education in fundamentals of mechanics and electricity and ability to operate and fix mechanical and electrical devices on a small scale.

Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds regularly.

Forklift experience a plus.
Salary
Competitive starting pay that includes shift differentials starting at $2.00/hour and
weekend differentials starting at $2.00/hour.
