BHN is seeking a playground assistant for the Early Intervention department.

What You’ll Do:

The Playgroup Assistant supports the Early Intervention Program by providing child supervision, engagement, and childcare support during playgroups. This role contributes to a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children and families.

Responsibilities include:

Provide supervision and engage enrolled children during playgroups under the direction of the Playgroup Leader.
Assist with the setup and cleanup of playgroup activities before and after each session.
Maintain a clean, organized environment in accordance with EEC cleaning and sanitization standards.
Change diapers and attend to the personal care needs of children as required.
Read to children and participate in age-appropriate activities that support learning and development.
Support a positive, welcoming atmosphere for children and families participating in the program.

What You'll Bring:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in an early childhood setting preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year of behavior management experience preferred.
Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred; training will be provided for the selected candidate as needed.
Bilingual skills are preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and child engagement skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a supportive and family-centered environment.
