After School Club Counselor (Part-Time)
Location: Gymnastics Academy of Rockford – Rockford, IL

Gymnastics Academy of Rockford is looking for enthusiastic After School Club Counselors to join our team! Our counselors help create a safe, engaging, and positive environment where children can learn, play, and thrive after the school day.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM during the school year
- Opportunities to work full days on school holidays, institute days, winter break, spring break, and other no-school days
- Additional full-time hours available during our summer camp program
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of elementary-aged children.
- Lead games, crafts, sports, gym activities, and other enrichment activities.
- Assist children with homework when needed.
- Serve snack and help with daily routines.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
- Be an active, positive role model for all campers.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience with children through babysitting, camps, coaching, daycare, education, youth programs, or similar experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (training opportunities may be available).
