Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Utility Inspector to oversee the quality, safety, and compliance of public infrastructure construction projects. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of construction sites to verify compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Review construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to interpret design intent and ensure proper implementation.
- Perform quality control assessments during various phases of construction, including pipeline installations and other civil infrastructure work.
- Collect data through site observations, measurements, and documentation to support regulatory compliance and project progress reports.
- Analyze construction documents such as contracts, specifications, and regulatory guidelines to ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor construction activities on-site to identify potential issues related to quality or safety and recommend corrective actions promptly.
- Collaborate with construction management teams, contractors, and engineers to resolve discrepancies and facilitate smooth project execution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction projects in a civil infrastructure or public works setting.
- Strong knowledge of construction regulations, building code analysis, and safety standards applicable to infrastructure projects.
- Experience with public infrastructure construction projects including pipelines, roads, or utility systems.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans.
- Familiarity with construction site inspections, quality inspections, and regulatory compliance procedures.
- Excellent analysis skills for assessing construction quality and ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and data collection purposes.
- Construction site experience combined with knowledge of construction management practices is highly desirable.
