Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food preparation techniques. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality.
Skills
- Strong background in the food industry, with experience in food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, including safe food handling and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Familiarity with culinary terminology and techniques is preferred.
- Experience as a dietary aide or within a dietary department is a plus but not required.
