Catering Cook — Full Time (Baltimore, MD)
G&G Catering, a locally owned and hospitality‑driven catering company serving Baltimore for over 35 years, is seeking an experienced Catering Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a seasoned kitchen professional who can execute recipes, manage batch production, and uphold consistent quality in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years professional kitchen experience (catering, restaurant, or production kitchen)
- Strong cooking skills: roasting, sautéing, grilling, steaming, batch production
- Ability to manage timing, flavor, and consistency across large volumes
- Comfortable working independently and making adjustments as needed
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Positive attitude and a hospitality‑focused mindset
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, early mornings to early afternoons
- Occasional weekends and overtime for events or peak production periods
- Full‑time, hourly position
Role Responsibilities
- Execute daily cooking tasks: proteins, vegetables, starches, sauces, and specialty items
- Manage batch cooking for weekly orders and event menus
- Taste, adjust, and ensure consistent quality across all dishes
- Package and organize finished food for delivery and on‑site service
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and organization
- Support event production and special culinary projects as needed
