We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entomologist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting food safety by conducting specialized entomological, decomposition, and sensory analyses on a variety of food commodities. You'll collaborate with experienced professionals across our Chemistry and Microbiology departments while contributing directly to projects that impact customers nationwide.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As an Entomologist, you will be responsible for performing and supporting a variety of laboratory analyses, including:
- Conducting sample preparation and extraction procedures
- Performing filth analyses on food products and commodities
- Evaluating and reporting filth and heavy readings
- Conducting decomposition analyses according to established methods
- Performing sensory evaluations and assessments
- Preparing and generating FDA-compliant reports and documentation
- Maintaining accurate laboratory records and ensuring adherence to testing protocols
- Collaborating with Chemistry and Microbiology teams to meet customer deadlines and laboratory objectives
- Supporting departmental operations in a fast-paced laboratory environment
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Entomology
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in entomology, sensory analysis, food testing, or a related laboratory environment
- Experience working in a regulated laboratory setting
- Familiarity with FDA methods and reporting procedures
