Duties
- Provide high-quality hair styling, coloring, extensions, and hair care services tailored to each client’s needs
- Perform professional nail services including manicures, pedicures, and nail art with meticulous sanitation practices
- Offer expert consultations on haircuts, hair color theory, and hair treatments to ensure client satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation in compliance with health regulations and salon standards
- Build strong client relationships through excellent customer service, communication skills, and personalized service recommendations
- Upsell retail products such as hair care items, styling tools, and nail products to enhance client results and salon revenue
- Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail sales tracking
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license (as applicable) with experience working in the beauty industry
- Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, straight razor work, and hair extensions
- Skilled in nail care services such as manicures, pedicures, and nail art; experience with eyelash extensions is a plus
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Strong communication skills for effective client consultation and service recommendations
- Experience using salon management software like MINDBODY or similar platforms
- Ability to perform retail math for upselling opportunities effectively
- Passion for continuous learning in areas like color theory, makeup application, hair threading, and advanced styling techniques
