Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team and help maintain 4 private cabins rentals near Rocky Pond in Orland, ME. You will be responsible for turning over the cabins in between guest stays and must be able to consistently meet turn over windows several times a week. Pay range is variably based on how quickly the work can be completed. Extra pay available to any cleaner capable of using an ATV to clean two cabins at the top of the mountain. The road to the mountain top cabins will be car drivable by this fall. Attention to detail and willingness to work effectively with a small team is important. This position offers an opportunity to work on the move in a dynamic environment where your efforts will directly impact the overall experience of our guests. Most work expected to be paused Jan. - March with limited rentals still possible during winter.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of surfaces, floors, carpets, and upholstery using appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents.
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Conduct laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, kitchens, common areas, and outdoor spaces by dusting, mopping, sweeping, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely during furniture moving or deep cleaning projects.
- Use appropriate handling techniques to transport cleaning supplies or equipment efficiently while minimizing injury risk.
- Communicate effectively with management to understand specific cleaning requirements and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining quality standards.
- Operate janitorial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, and pressure washers for various cleaning projects.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked, stored properly, and used responsibly according to safety guidelines.
- Follow health and safety regulations related to outdoor work environments when applicable.
