Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Remote Billing Lead to oversee and manage the full day-to-day medical billing operations for a busy urgent care organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Experity, urgent care billing workflows, workers' compensation claims, employer statements, revenue cycle management, and team leadership.
This role requires a hands-on professional who can ensure timely claim submission, payment posting, denial management, employer invoicing, account reconciliation, and overall billing performance while maintaining compliance and maximizing reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all daily billing and revenue cycle operations.
- Serve as the primary billing expert for Experity Practice Management and EMR systems.
- Oversee claim submission, payment posting, denial management, appeals, and accounts receivable follow-up.
- Manage and reconcile workers' compensation billing, claims processing, and carrier communications.
- Prepare, review, and distribute employer statements and occupational medicine invoices.
- Monitor billing KPIs, aging reports, collections, and reimbursement trends.
- Ensure accurate coding and billing practices in compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.
- Identify billing issues and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and collections.
- Collaborate with clinical, front-office, and management teams to resolve billing concerns.
- Train, mentor, and support billing staff as needed.
- Perform account audits and ensure data integrity across billing systems.
- Manage payer enrollment, credentialing coordination, and billing-related vendor relationships when applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of medical billing experience, preferably in urgent care or occupational medicine.
- Minimum 2+ years in a lead, supervisor, or management role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Experity billing and practice management systems.
- Extensive knowledge of:
- Urgent care billing
- Workers' compensation billing and collections
- Employer invoicing and statements
- Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid claims processing
- Denial management and appeals
- Accounts receivable follow-up
- Proficiency with billing reports, analytics, and revenue cycle performance metrics.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPC, CPB, or other relevant billing/coding certification.
- Experience with occupational health and employer services billing.
- Multi-site urgent care experience.
- Revenue cycle management leadership experience.

Hours: M-F 8a-5p CST
Pay: $4,000.00 - $6,000.00 per month
