I love the people I work with, I love our guests, and honestly one of my favorite things in the world is watching someone's face light up when they find that perfect pair of glasses. They come back and tell us about all the compliments they have gotten, they send their friends in, and they leave us five-star reviews. They become raving fans - and that feeling, knowing you helped someone look and feel so good that they are telling everyone about it, never gets old.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING:
We call this role an Eyewear Expert. Your job is to help people find glasses they absolutely love. Not just glasses that work. The ones that fit their face, match who they are, and make them feel amazing when they put them on.
That starts with getting to know each guest personally. You learn about their life, their style, what they need. Then you pull what you think is right for them and you help them find it. When it clicks, you will know. You will see it on their face.
We will train you on everything you need to know about the optical side of things. What I cannot teach you is warmth, genuine enthusiasm, and the kind of personality that makes people feel taken care of the moment they walk in. That part has to be yours already.
A LITTLE ABOUT US:
EYES Optometry Boutique is a boutique eyewear destination in Grand Ledge, Michigan. We carry bold, beautifully made independent frame lines that most people in this area have never seen before. We have nearly 400 five-star reviews because we genuinely care about every single person who walks through our door. The space is beautiful. The experience is unlike anything else around here.
We are a small, close-knit team and I am proud of what we have built together. Everyone's work is visible, everyone matters, and we invest in each other including team training trips. This is not a place you clock in and out of. It is a place you actually want to be.
YOU MIGHT BE EXACTLY WHO I AM LOOKING FOR IF:
- People genuinely enjoy being around you and you genuinely enjoy being around them
- You have a background in hospitality or service and you are good at making people feel taken care of
- You get excited about style, fashion, or helping someone look and feel their best
- You find something worth doing without being asked
- You want to be part of something small and special and actually feel like you belong there
- Optical experience is absolutely a bonus but it is not required. I will train the right person.
WHAT WE OFFER:
- $17 to $20 per hour to start, with pay that grows as you grow with us
- Performance based bonus eligibility after your 90 day training period
- Full time, Monday through Friday. No weekends. No Saturdays. Ever.
