TEXAS STATE RENTALS has a career opportunity for a Haul Truck Driver at the San Antonio, Texas branch. The Haul truck Driver will be responsible for safely loading and unloading heavy machinery both at the TSR yards and at customer locations. The Haul Truck Driver will properly secure all loads before transport and ensuring check-in/check-out sheets are properly completed. If not properly completed, must report to branch manager immediately.
The Haul Truck Driver’s primary focus is to safely transport heavy construction equipment (backhoes, dozers, manlifts...etc) and represent Texas State Rentals by providing exceptional customer service. They will communicate and coordinate with front counter logistics team members to meet the branch hauling needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely load/off-load heavy equipment.
- Properly secure loads, with ratchet straps, chains, binders and winch.
- Safely climb on/off equipment and tractor/trailer multiple times a day.
- Effective time management skills to stay on track for deliveries/pick-up.
- Utilize safe driving techniques at all times.
- Legibly complete equipment inspection reports upon delivery/pickup of equipment.
- Maintain daily records of pre-trip/post trip inspection of vehicle & accurate E-logs.
- Coordinate with front counter logistics and customers to collect and verify delivery/pickup locations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to continually lift and handle heavy loads up to 70 lbs.
- Must pass DOT Drug Test.
- Clean driving record
- Ability to maneuver around and crawl under equipment in order to properly secure, work in hot or cold work environments.
- Three plus years of experience hauling construction equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
