Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic paving team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport and deliver materials such as asphalt, gravel, dirt, debris, or other bulk loads to various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and load handling will ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction, landscaping, or waste management projects while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks with manual transmission and other specialized vehicles such as flatbed trailers to transport materials across diverse routes.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts or hydraulic systems, ensuring secure and balanced loads.
- Drive safely along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations while maintaining punctuality for scheduled deliveries.
- Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical issues, fluid levels, tire condition, and safety features; perform routine maintenance when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, cargo details, and delivery documentation for compliance purposes.
- Assist with site cleanup or material handling tasks when required to support overall project efficiency.
Experience
- Asphalt experience a plus - Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles such as tractor-trailers or freight trucks in a commercial driving environment.
- Familiarity with manual transmission operation and vehicle safety protocols.
- Prior delivery driver experience working with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or roll-off trucks is a plus.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other lifting equipment while following safety procedures.
- Knowledge of route driving strategies to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements; experience driving tractor-trailers or heavy machinery preferred.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards applicable to heavy vehicle operation.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
