We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and efficient Veterinary Technician to join our high-volume spay/neuter clinic. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment, values teamwork, and is passionate about providing high-quality care while helping reduce pet overpopulation.
What You'll Do
- Prepare dogs and cats for surgery.
- Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.
- Assist veterinarians during high-volume spay/neuter procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and anesthetic depth.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Place IV catheters and perform blood collection when needed.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Assist with inventory, equipment maintenance, and clinic cleanliness.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and animal welfare protocols.
Qualifications
- Veterinary Technician experience required.
- High-volume spay/neuter experience strongly preferred.
- Strong anesthesia monitoring and patient care skills.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining excellent patient safety standards.
- Must be comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to the mission of accessible veterinary care and animal welfare.
