Job Title: Grooming Assistant
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Grooming Assistant to join our team. As a Grooming Assistant, you will be responsible for bathing, drying, shaving paw pads and trimming the coat in preparation for grooming. You will work closely with our professional groomers to ensure that all dogs receive the highest level of care and attention.
Job Responsibilities:
Bathe and shampoo dogs of various breeds and sizes
Brush and dry dogs' coats to prepare for grooming
Trim nails and clean ears
Clean and sanitize grooming areas and equipment
Assist groomers with various tasks, including trimming and styling dogs' coats
Handle and restrain dogs in a safe and gentle manner
Monitor dogs for any signs of discomfort or distress and report any concerns to the groomer
Maintain accurate records of all dogs' grooming sessions
Job Requirements:
Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy dogs
