We are looking to add experienced Line Cooks who want to grow with our company and take pride in preparing exceptional food. Applicants should be dependable, organized, positive, and professional. Position Overview
As a Line Cook at The Library Restaurant & Pub, you will be an essential part of our back-of-house team. Working closely with our Head Chef and kitchen staff, you will prepare and execute menu items with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen and takes pride in producing outstanding food every shift.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Saturday
- 3:00 PM – 9:30 PM
- Alternating days off
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare Outstanding Food
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure every dish leaving the kitchen meets our quality expectations.
- Maintain consistency in portioning, cooking temperatures, and presentation.
Maintain Food Safety Standards
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Monitor proper food storage, rotation, labeling, and holding temperatures.
- Practice safe food handling procedures at all times.
Keep an Organized Station
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation throughout each shift.
- Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties.
- Communicate inventory needs to kitchen leadership.
Work as a Team
- Communicate effectively with fellow kitchen staff to ensure timely ticket execution.
- Assist teammates during busy service periods.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude while working under pressure.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a full-service restaurant kitchen.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Weekend availability required.
Compensation
- Starting at $18.00 per hour, with higher starting pay based on experience.
