Overview
Provide critical support to the Inside Sales team by ensuring accurate order processing, effective communication, and timely customer updates. This role plays a key part in delivering a high-quality customer experience while supporting operational efficiency across sales, purchasing, and logistics functions.
Key Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming calls, directing inquiries and ensuring prompt, professional communication
- Accurately enter and process sales orders in support of the Inside Sales team
- Verify pricing, lead times, and product availability to support order accuracy and customer expectations
- Coordinate with suppliers, internal teams, and transportation providers to support order fulfillment and resolve issues
- Proactively communicate order status, delivery updates, and potential delays to customers
- Follow up on open or unresolved items to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction
- Assist in identifying and resolving product nonconformances in coordination with Quality and Sales teams
- Support overall operational efficiency by maintaining organized and accurate records
Skills
- High attention to detail when entering and reviewing sales orders, pricing, and product data
- Strong follow-up skills to ensure timely closure of open items
- Ability to verify lead times, availability, and customer requirements
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously
- Understanding of aerospace distribution requirements (traceability, certifications, documentation)
- Familiarity with AS9120 / ISO 9001 quality standards (preferred)
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., E21) for order entry, tracking, and data accuracy
- Basic understanding of supply chain and logistics processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
