Job Summary
Join our dynamic kitchen staff as a Dishwasher, where you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. Required shifts: Saturday and Sunday mornings, 8:30am - close (around 2:30pm); weekdays as needed during busy season and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring the dining area remains clean and organized as needed.
- Follow proper manual handling techniques to safely lift heavy pots, trays, and dishware.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools in accordance with safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing station and ensure compliance with sanitation regulations.
- Support overall kitchen health and safety standards by adhering to hygiene protocols and reporting hazards promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with operating basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or sinks is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while following health and safety guidelines.
