Role Summary: Field & Warehouse Operations Manager
Position Overview
The Field & Warehouse Operations Manager reports directly to the CEO and holds full operational accountability for the company’s logistics, field execution, and warehouse facility. This highly collaborative, cross-functional leadership role drives corporate culture, operational efficiency, and bottom-line results.
The Manager provides the strategic vision and seamless execution necessary to align day-to-day operations with overarching company goals. Managing a large team across field installations, deliveries, pickups, and warehouse management, this role balances team safety, service quality, and financial impact, while championing the organization's commitment to delivering elite design services to high-profile clients.
Core Responsibilities
1. Field Operations & Project Execution
- Crew Scheduling: Orchestrate property installations and uninstalls by strategically assigning crew members to optimize productivity and eliminate unnecessary overtime.
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Coordinate continuously with the CEO, sales team, and interior designers to align project timelines with client expectations.
- Quality Assurance: Standardize, implement, and audit operational checklists for every property transition to ensure flawless execution.
- On-Site Supervision: Conduct regular site visits to monitor team performance, audit quality, and resolve field escalation points in real time.
- Property Protection: Enforce strict preventative policies to eliminate damage to client homes, field inventory, and company assets.
2. Facility & Inventory Management
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a structured, logically mapped facility where all design assets are properly zoned, stored, and cataloged.
- Logistics & Prep: Oversee the swift processing of returned items and ensure inventory is fully prepped and staged for next-day deployments.
- Asset Maintenance: Utilize rigorous weekly facility checklists and direct touch-ups, repairs, and general upkeep to preserve inventory value.
- Fleet Control: Implement stocking protocols for all transit vehicles, ensuring trucks are equipped with required tools, materials, and active camera safety systems.
3. Team Leadership, Safety & Culture
- Talent Management: Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor a large, high-performing field and warehouse workforce in a fast-paced environment.
- Performance & Advocacy: Track employee progress, manage career development paths, and recommend promotions, raises, and structural adjustments to the CEO.
- Administrative Oversight: Review, edit, and approve departmental timesheets, vacation requests, and mileage reimbursement logs.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce comprehensive safety training and protective equipment compliance, maintaining a zero-tolerance policy for unreported hazards or incidents.
4. Strategic Planning & Process Improvement
- Workflow Optimization: Map, document, and continuously refine operational workflows to eliminate bottlenecks and mitigate project risks.
- Route Efficiency: Architect optimized transit routes for field pickups and deliveries to maximize fuel efficiency and daily stops.
- Tech Integration: Identify, deploy, and leverage modern logistics tools and workflow technologies to maximize operational capacity.
- Executive Reporting: Deliver structured capacity updates, resource planning forecasts, and status reports directly to the CEO.
- System Accuracy: Partner with the technology team to ensure the digital inventory management system reflects real-time asset data.
Pay: $70,304.00 - $75,000.00 per year
