Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, utilizing your knowledge of beverage recipes and mixology techniques
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional service
- Engage with guests to provide personalized recommendations, answer questions about menu items, and enhance their overall experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Process cash transactions efficiently while managing POS systems and handling cash with accuracy
- Develop new beverage recipes or variations to keep the menu fresh and exciting for returning guests
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods, including banquet or catering events if applicable
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality industry roles, with a focus on bartending or serving in fine dining or casual settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, along with cash handling and cashiering skills
- Demonstrated expertise in mixology, spirits, wine knowledge, craft beer brewing, and beverage recipe development
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for retail math, catering calculations, and cash processing
- Previous banquet or catering experience is a plus but not required
