Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler Assistant or Co Lead to join our vibrant early childhood education team! Duties
- Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth for toddlers
- Support daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play to ensure a consistent and comforting environment
- Engage with children through interactive play, storytelling, music, and hands-on learning experiences that stimulate curiosity and creativity
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment by following health and safety protocols including first aid procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with lead teachers to observe children’s progress and document developmental milestones in accordance with best practices in childhood education
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's day-to-day experiences and developmental progress
- Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care
Skills
- Demonstrated experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification or training in first aid (including pediatric first aid) and child CPR preferred
- Familiarity with special education needs and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and social interactions among toddlers
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies that support emotional regulation and social skills
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and engaging families effectively
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws to ensure legal compliance in safeguarding children’s welfare

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
