As the Pharmacist-in-Charge, you'll oversee an innovative in-house pharmacy serving both Virginia Union University students and members of the surrounding community through our 340B nonprofit health clinic. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, optimize 340B program performance, and support our mission of improving health outcomes for students and the surrounding community.
Experience with the 340B Drug Pricing Program and Pioneer Rx pharmacy software is preferred.
Duties
- Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge in accordance with Virginia Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Direct and oversee all daily pharmacy operations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
- Manage and maintain compliance with the 340B Drug Pricing Program, including audits, policies, and reporting.
- Develop and implement pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy staff and technicians.
- Collaborate with providers to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes.
- Provide patient counseling and medication education.
- Oversee inventory management, purchasing, drug storage, and controlled substance accountability.
- Monitor pharmacy performance metrics and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Support student health initiatives and community outreach programs as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation required by regulatory agencies and organizational policies.
Pay: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
