Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, taking orders accurately, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Ensure all food safety standards are met by sanitizing work areas and following proper food handling procedures.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, including cash register operations and cash handling.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any special requests from guests.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, utensils, and dining areas throughout the shift.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Server or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential; certification is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.
- Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with guests and address their needs promptly.
- A willingness to learn about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide informed recommendations to guests.
