Buoy Bowls is looking for an energetic, dependable, and positive Shift Leader to help lead our Ocean Isle Beach team. If you're someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in leading by example, and loves creating an incredible customer experience, we'd love to meet you.
As a Shift Leader, you'll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, coaching team members, maintaining our high standards for food quality and cleanliness, and ensuring every guest receives the Legendary Customer Service Buoy Bowls is known for.
This is a hands-on leadership position with opportunities to grow into management as our company continues to expand.
What You'll Do
- Lead and motivate the team during each shift by setting the pace and leading by example.
- Open and/or close the store following Buoy Bowls operating procedures.
- Prepare and serve premium açaí bowls, smoothies, and other menu items to our quality standards.
- Deliver fast, friendly, and memorable customer service to every guest.
- Coach team members on recipes, procedures, and customer interactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked store throughout each shift.
- Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards are followed.
- Operate the Square POS system accurately and daily reporting.
- Assist with inventory counts, ordering, receiving deliveries, and produce runs when needed.
- Help create a fun, positive, and high-performing team culture.
What We're Looking For
- At least 1 year of restaurant, café, smoothie shop, quick-service, or food truck experience
- Previous leadership or Shift Lead experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stay calm and lead confidently during busy rushes
- Positive attitude with a passion for serving people
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
- Reliable transportation
- Food safety knowledge is a plus
