Front Desk Receptionist / Security Associate
Non-Exempt | On-Site | Reports to: Security Manager | Department: Security
FTE: 0.8, 32.5 hpw
Scheduled primarily Monday through Friday and averages approximately 32.5 hours per week, (0.8 FTE), qualifying for benefits. Additional hours may occasionally be available or required based on business needs. This position is designed to provide a consistent customer-facing presence at the front desk while supporting facility access control. The role is not a licensed Security Officer position and does not perform routine patrol, enforcement, or emergency response functions except as directed during emergencies or business continuity events.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Serves as the primary point of contact for visitors, vendors, applicants, and associates, creating a professional and welcoming first impression of LeeSar/CSF.
- Manages front desk operations, visitor access procedures, incoming calls, and administrative support functions for the Security Department.
- Supports facility security through visitor management, access control procedures, monitoring security systems, and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborates with Security, Human Resources, and operational departments to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a safe and secure environment.
JOB DUTIES:
Front Desk Operations:
- Serve as the primary receptionist and front desk representative for the organization.
- Greet visitors, vendors, applicants, and associates in a professional, friendly, and service-oriented manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Provide information and assistance to visitors and associates while ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Assist with data entry, tracking reports, and special projects.
- Process incoming mail, packages, and deliveries.
Visitor Management & Access Control:
- Manage visitor registration, sign-in, and badge issuance processes.
- Verify visitor authorization and follow established access control procedures.
- Notify associates of visitor arrivals and coordinate visitor access as appropriate.
- Maintain visitor logs and access records.
- Monitor facility entrances, security cameras, and designated access points.
- Escalate unusual or suspicious activity to Security personnel in accordance with established procedures.
Teamwork & Customer Service:
- Maintain effective communication with Security, Human Resources, and other departments.
- Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and discretion in all interactions.
- Maintain confidentiality of information, records, and sensitive matters.

EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- As a customer facing role, this position must abide by professional business casual dress code.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
- Previous customer service, receptionist, administrative support, hospitality, healthcare, retail, banking, or similar experience is preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet applications.
