About Envisso
Envisso provides merchant credit risk monitoring and embedded insurance to payment companies. We act as the underwriting and distribution partner for insurers (including Chubb) on portfolio credit risk policies for payment processors, acquirers, and payment facilitators. We are regulated as an insurance broker in the UK (FCA) and operate in Singapore and Australia. We are now establishing our US broking operation through our US subsidiary, Envisso Americas Inc. (Delaware), with several US placements in the pipeline.
We are seeking an experienced, US-licensed insurance professional to serve as the entity's Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) and compliance principal on a consulting basis.
The role
You will be named as DRLP on Envisso Americas Inc.'s producer licences (resident/home state plus approximately three non-resident states) and will hold genuine oversight responsibility for the entity's US insurance compliance. This is not a passive designation: you will have visibility of, and sign-off authority over, all US regulated activity.
Envisso Americas Inc. will act as producing broker of record on its US placements. Day-to-day production is limited and well-defined: Envisso's UK team handles programme design, underwriting analysis, and the carrier relationship (Chubb), with policies issued on local US paper. Expected volume in year one is a small number of large commercial placements (fewer than ten), each supported by our US regulatory counsel and licensing firm.
Responsibilities
- Serve as DRLP on the entity's home-state and non-resident producer licences (expected: home state plus Delaware, Pennsylvania, Georgia, California, subject to final state list)
- Review and sign off each US placement before binding for licensing and compensation compliance (correct home-state analysis, licensed entities in the chain, compliant commission flows)
- Review and approve broker of record letters, carrier producer agreements, and any US-facing marketing materials
- Support the entity's carrier appointments (including Chubb producer onboarding) and act as its point of contact for state insurance departments; oversee responses to any regulator correspondence
- Oversee licence renewals, continuing education compliance, and NIPR filings (administrative execution supported by our licensing firm); if placements require surplus lines authority, hold or obtain the corresponding surplus lines licence
- Attend a standing monthly compliance call with Envisso leadership; escalate any concerns directly to the CEO
Pay: $150.00 - $200.00 per day
