Duties
- Implement individualized ABA therapy protocols designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene, ensuring comfort and dignity during each session
- Collect accurate behavioral data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform ongoing treatment plans
- Support clients with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental disorders through engaging teaching strategies and behavior management techniques
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, client records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and professional standards
- Communicate regularly with caregivers, families, and team members to update on client progress and adapt strategies as needed
- Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines outlined in the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts while delivering direct behavioral therapy
Qualifications
- RBT certification required.
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, especially those on the autism spectrum or with neurodevelopmental disorders
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles, behavior management techniques, and data collection methods
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in achieving their personal goals
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with team members
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and home-based behavioral support is a plus
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
- Demonstrated professionalism, ethical conduct, and a caring attitude toward clients and families
