Job Summary
This position is responsible for the safe and accurate movement of all trailers containing components and finished goods at the Company’s manufacturing campus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Driving a spotter and attached trailers between buildings on campus, as well as parking trailers in trailer lot
· Complete safety inspections on each trailer that is moved and each truck that is driven
· Put seals on finished goods trailers and color code according to appropriate shift
· Produce movement log sheet for each trailer movement, including the following information: trailer number, pick up location, drop location, STO number, and time
· Keep truck cab clean and safe at all times
· Adjust regular schedule to successfully complete high-priority jobs in a timely manner
· Receive general work direction from shift supervisor
· Effectively communicate with all other employees both face-to-face and using assigned work radios
· Adhere to all company policies and procedures including values, safety, attendance and standard operating procedure
· Deliver on the job training to new coworkers
· Develop, implement and comply will all continuous improvement initiatives
· Must understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment
· Other special projects as requested
Education and Experience Profile
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· One to two years of previous work related experience.
· CDL Class A Driver License.
Required Skills
· Basic understanding of tools and mechanical aptitude
· High level of organizational skills.
· Ability to handle tractor, hook up trailers, put trailers into and remove trailers from dock doors
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

The employee is frequently is required to walk, sit and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel equipment; reach with hands and arms. The ability to speak and hear is essential in interacting with other inspectors and line supervision. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. Some of the measuring functions require the employee to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to forklift traffic and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions as well as hot and cold environments. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and flammables. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. While working in this environment, Personal Protective Equipment (such as ear plugs, gloves, masks, glasses, etc) must be worn as required.

Pay: $28.24 - $28.54 per hour
