Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and skilled Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and decorating cakes, with a strong understanding of food handling and production processes. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing cakes that meet customer specifications while ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
Additional Important Details
- Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, morning and afternoon. Overtime may be required based on workloads.
- Tips on custom cakes are provided directly to decorators as part of their compensation.
- Compensation range is based on years of experience.

Duties
- Design and decorate cakes according to customer orders and specifications, utilizing various techniques and styles.
- Prepare cake batters, icings, and fillings in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill catering orders and special event requests.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and placing orders as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new decorating techniques to enhance skills and offerings.
Skills
- Proficient in cake decorating techniques, including fondant work, piping, and airbrushing.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices within the food industry.
- Experience in food production and preparation, particularly in cake decorating.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- A passion for creativity and an eye for design are essential for this role.
