Provide direct nursing care to residents on the Pulmonary/Trach Unit.
Monitor residents with tracheostomies, pulmonary conditions, oxygen therapy, and respiratory needs.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
Perform skilled nursing assessments and report changes in condition promptly.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation staff, and other members of the care team.
Assist with tracheostomy care, suctioning, respiratory monitoring, and related clinical interventions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Support infection prevention and resident safety practices.
Educate residents and families as appropriate.
Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs during assigned shifts.
Follow facility policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations.
Promote a positive, compassionate, and resident-centered care environment.
