Job Summary:
As a Fire Alarm Systems Apprentice Technician, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality service and maintenance for fire alarm and life safety systems across your assigned territory. You will assist experienced technicians with service calls, inspections, troubleshooting, installations, and repairs—ensuring every job is completed safely, thoroughly, and to the customer’s satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Perform testing and inspection of fire alarm systems, surveillance cameras, and burglary/intrusion systems
-Support and coordinate testing for various life safety systems
-Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues, and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
-Accurately record all inspection and test results in compliance with NFPA standards and local codes
-Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers, communicating any follow-up needs, quotes, questions, or concerns to the right team members
-Clearly explain any system deficiencies to customers and discuss recommended solutions
REQUIREMENTS:
-06 Electrician’s License
-2+ years of experience in fire alarm systems
-High School diploma or equivalent
-NICET II or CFAT II (Fire Alarm Systems or Fire Alarm Test and Inspect)
-FA-1 Fire Alarm Systems (Seattle Certification) preferred
-Knowledge and ability to use basic computer functions such as Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple iOS, and Android
-Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
-Hourly Pay Range: $40-$45.00 (depending on licenses, certifications, skills, and experience)
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
