Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and special dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food handling and beverage stations
- Assist in food preparation when necessary and support kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Build strong guest relations by providing excellent customer service, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming environment
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Experience with fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Excellent guest relations skills with a focus on providing memorable customer experiences
- Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
