Work Location: Marlborough, MA Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)

What you will be doing:
The Creative Director drives the creative vision, execution, and design team for the Wellness brand portfolio (Braun, Honeywell, PUR, & Vicks). This position requires a leader who can develop differentiated, strategic, and compelling creative solutions that deliver on-brand business goals across all consumer touch points.
This leader is responsible for shaping and executing cohesive, elevated brand experiences across packaging design, package design for new product launches, point-of-sale collateral, digital executions, and design for special events, including video, photography, web, and social.
As a hands-on Creative Director and experienced people leader, this role will guide a multidisciplinary design team of 6+ people while partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Innovation, and Engineering to bring breakthrough ideas to market. The Creative Director will bring a mix of artistic, marketing, and business expertise to the position to support our mission to drive growth and develop strong brand equities.
Develops and provides creative direction for all brand and marketing expressions across packaging, digital, eCommerce, social, and video content.
Oversees creation and design of visual identity systems and brand guidelines.
Provides visionary oversight and creative direction for our brands and ensures effective creative development and executional brilliance.
Partners with Marketing teams to ensure a planned, collaborative, and cohesive design approach across all consumer touch points.
Works closely with the brand teams to translate creative brief into compelling consumer touch points.
Generates new ideas and innovations for: creative execution, customer experience, work process and execution.
Integrates generative AI into the design process to accelerate concept exploration, prototyping, and execution while elevating craft and originality.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to execute creative strategies.
Drives creative brainstorms with cross-functional teams to help surface new, innovative packaging and digital assets.
Stays current with the competitive landscape, emerging trends, and consumer behavior. Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audience across brands.
Maintains awareness of current trends in design and merchandising (both in-store and online) and completes audits to observe competitive landscape and research trends and materials.
Build relationships and manages outside agencies to ensure work supports brand standards and achieves goals.
Collaborates closely with New Product Development (NPD) Engineers and Marketing to provide directions on all internal design work.
Improves processes and practices working with Creative Studio Services and their team to increase quality and accuracy.
Creates a vision to be shared with the creative team as well as marketing teams.
Leadership of the Creative Team / Department
Ensures the creative team structure aligns with evolving business needs, priorities, and growth objectives.
Provides leadership, guidance, and support to the creative team while establishing best practices for artwork file management, server organization, and asset governance.
Builds team capabilities across design, storytelling, and emerging digital formats through training and development initiatives; manages Graphic Designers, Senior Designers, the Associate Creative Director, Digital Asset Associate, and freelance resources.
Creates clear career paths and provides ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for direct reports.
Fosters team engagement and growth through collaboration, mentorship, and creative talent development.
Leads by example as a hands-on creative leader, contributing strategic thinking and creative expertise when needed.
Cultivates a culture of creativity, excellence, accountability, and results-driven performance.
Empowers team members to confidently execute, make decisions, and lead within their respective roles and areas of expertise.
Manages the creative budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies that support business growth and improve margins.

Minimum Qualifications:
BFA in Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
15 + years of experience in Graphic Design and Package Design.
Expert knowledge of graphic software programs such as Adobe Creative Suite and expert knowledge of best package design practices and integrated digital content.
Extensive experience managing and leading teams of creative professionals across disciplines.
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
In Massachusetts, the standard base pay range for this role is $130,393 - $162,992 annually. This base pay range is specific to Massachusetts and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
