Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and parts, supporting various construction and manufacturing projects. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
- Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas).
- Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, bending, and assembling sheet metal and other metal materials using power tools, and hand tools.
- Measure materials accurately using measuring instruments and shop math to ensure precise fabrication.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and safe handling of tools and materials.
- Collaborate with team members on construction site projects or fabrication shop tasks, ensuring timely completion of assignments while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience or fabrication shop experience with metal fabrication projects.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; ability to interpret mechanical blueprints accurately.
- Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, with knowledge of ASME codes & standards.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as shop math for precise fabrication work.
- Experience operating power tools like drills, Impact nut drivers, table saw, grinders, and hand tools safely.
- Ability to work on construction sites or in a fabrication shop environment while following safety protocols diligently.
- Strong mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills necessary for accurate measurements and calculations.
