Phoenix Country Club, located in Phoenix, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Lifeguard! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.
General Purpose:
Supervises members and guests in and around pool area while enforcing all water safety policies and procedures.
Essential Duties:
- Supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure their safety.
- Administers first aid to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises of swimmers.
- Maintains amenities in and cleanliness of changing rooms, bathrooms and showers.
- Assists in organizing clinics and private swimming lessons for members as directed by department manager.
- Enforces the rules of conduct.
- Checks the first aid supplies and reports needed items to management in a timely fashion.
- Organizes and monitors pool games at all times; suggests pool-side games.
- Straightens the pool area at the end of the day.
- Maintains all necessary records determined by the department manager.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.

- Swim lesson instruction
- Competitive swim team experience
Education/Experience and Physical/Environmental Demands:
- Must be physically fit and able to perform rescues and other physical tasks as needed. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions. Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
- Must hold a valid lifeguard certification from a recognized organization or able to get certified within 1 week of hire date
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required or or able to get certified within 1 week of hire date
Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patrons and provide instructions.
