The Cape Coral Construction Industry Association (CCCIA) is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Executive Director to lead one of Southwest Florida’s most established and successful industry organizations into its next phase of growth.
Founded in 1971, CCCIA proudly celebrates over 55 years as the unified voice of builders, contractors, developers, suppliers, and industry professionals shaping one of Florida’s fastest-growing communities. Today, the Association is experiencing strong momentum, with expanding membership, high-performing events, and trusted partnerships with city leadership and key stakeholders.
The next Executive Director will build on this success—accelerating membership growth, strengthening city government partnerships, and advancing meaningful collaboration across the construction and development ecosystem.
Position Overview
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive and strategic leader of the Association, responsible for driving membership growth, cultivating public-private partnerships, and enhancing industry collaboration. This role requires a highly visible leader who can align stakeholders, advocate effectively, and deliver measurable value to members while ensuring operational excellence.
Working in close partnership with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will lead initiatives that expand the Association’s influence, deepen engagement with the City of Cape Coral, and position CCCIA as the central hub for industry connection, advocacy, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Organizational Growth
- Execute the Board’s strategic vision with a clear focus on expanding membership, increasing engagement, and driving revenue growth.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities to elevate CCCIA’s role as the leading convening organization for the construction industry in Southwest Florida.
- Track industry trends and position the Association to proactively respond to growth, regulatory changes, and market dynamics.
Membership Growth & Engagement
- Lead a comprehensive membership strategy focused on recruitment, retention, and engagement across all industry segments.
- Build strong relationships with current and prospective members, ensuring consistent delivery of tangible business value and networking opportunities.
- Develop innovative programs, partnerships, and sponsorship models that expand member participation and investment.
City Government Partnerships & Advocacy
- Serve as the primary liaison to City of Cape Coral leadership, including City Council, administration, and key departments.
- Strengthen and formalize partnerships that promote collaboration between the construction industry and local government.
- Advocate on behalf of members by monitoring policy, regulatory, and permitting issues impacting growth and development.
- Position CCCIA as a trusted advisor and partner in supporting responsible economic development across the city.
Industry Collaboration & Program Development
- Foster collaboration among builders, contractors, suppliers, and related industries to address shared challenges and opportunities.
- Expand CCCIA’s role as a platform for education, innovation, workforce development, and cross-sector partnerships.
- Lead the development of programs and initiatives that bring together private industry and public stakeholders to advance the region’s growth responsibly and efficiently.
Events, Programs & Revenue Generation
- Oversee a portfolio of high-quality, revenue-generating events, including expos, networking events, and educational programs.
- Ensure events serve as key drivers for membership growth, industry collaboration, and sponsor engagement.
- Continuously improve programming relevance, attendance, and profitability.
Board & Volunteer Leadership
- Partner closely with the Board of Directors to guide strategy, provide insights, and ensure execution of priorities.
- Support and empower committees and volunteer leaders to drive initiatives aligned with membership growth and industry impact.
- Deliver clear, data-driven reporting on membership trends, financial performance, and strategic outcomes.
Financial & Operational Management
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring long-term sustainability and growth.
- Manage operations, vendor relationships, and administrative functions with a focus on efficiency and professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and governance standards.
Community & Industry Representation
- Serve as the public face of CCCIA, representing the Association at industry events, community functions, and civic engagements.
- Build visibility and credibility for the organization as a key stakeholder in the region’s economic and development ecosystem.

- Proven leadership experience with a track record of driving membership growth and organizational expansion
- Demonstrated success in building partnerships with local government and community stakeholders
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills across diverse groups
- Experience in association management, construction, business development, government relations, or a related field
- Financial acumen, including budgeting and revenue growth strategies
- Strategic mindset with the ability to execute and deliver measurable outcomes
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to engage boards, committees, and industry leaders
- A passion for advocacy, industry advancement, and member-driven organizations

Compensation
$75,000 – $80,000 annually
