Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Technician to join our team. This role involves operating hydro excavation equipment to safely expose underground utilities and support excavation projects. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, working outdoors, and being part of a collaborative field crew.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate hydro excavation equipment, including vacuum trucks and high-pressure water systems
- Perform daylighting, trenching, and utility exposure with precision and care
- Assist with job site setup, traffic control, and equipment maintenance
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and industry regulations
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and customers
- Complete daily job reports and documentation as required
- Maintain a clean and professional job site at all times
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in hydro excavation, construction, utilities, or related field preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Valid driver’s license;
- Clean driving record required
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 80 lbs and perform physical labor
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
