We are currently recruiting a weekday swing Technician in our Secondary Operations department. If you are mechanically-inclined (automotive, small engine, or loves to take things apart and put them back together, etc.), can use hand tools (wrench, torque wrench, etc.) and seeking to learn a new trade or hone your existing skills, OptiMIM just may be a fit for you!
Our Technicians conduct tooling set-ups, including tool installation, and machine preparation to support the injection molding process. Activities include troubleshooting and resolution of production problems and monitors product quality and process productivity.
Duties include:

Troubleshooting and repairing equipment (including replacing cutting tools, adjusting machine settings and supporting automation) as needed. (40%)

Performing equipment setups as directed. (15%)

Supporting the maintenance systems and perform activities as needed. (15%)

Working with maintenance and process engineering to troubleshoot and repair system failures. (10%)

Collecting and entering data as needed to support procedures and engineering tests. (5%)

Assisting & training employees on using technical equipment (Automation, CNC and other machines). (5%)

Other duties as required. (10%)
Requirements:

Basic to moderate knowledge of computer and PLCs.

High level of mechanical aptitude.

Good communication skills with the ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English

Able to frequently stand and walk the production floor throughout the shift

Able to frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds
-
Able to push and pull tools as well as bend and pivot to change equipment
-
Able to kneel, move and rearrange items on production floor such as cables and cords
-
Must be able to climb foot stool or ladder to work on top of large pieces of equipment
Wage: Entry-wage $19.00 on up, DOE
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 pm to 4:30 am
