Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, promote positive behavior, and support the holistic growth of children in your care. Duties
- Develop and execute creative, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote social-emotional development, behavior management, and early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere by implementing effective classroom management techniques and encouraging respectful interactions among children.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, developmental milestones, and any special education or childcare needs.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality childcare and educational experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, assessments, and standardized testing results.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and child welfare policies at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in preschool teaching or early childhood education with a strong background in classroom management and curriculum development.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, special education practices, and early intervention strategies.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods, literacy education, math instruction, and teaching physical education is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standard curriculum components such as tutoring, classroom activities, and standardized testing preparation.
- Prior experience working with toddlers or in daycare settings is preferred; private school experience is a plus.
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields; additional training in special education or child welfare is advantageous.
