Job Overview
We are seeking a Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technician. Specializing in restoring vehicles damaged by hail without the need for repainting or bodywork. Your expertise maintains the value and appearance of their vehicles through precise, efficient, and high-quality repairs.
Duties
- Use specialized tools to carefully massage and reshape vehicle panels, restoring their original form without damaging the paint or finish. NO DRILLING.
- Assess vehicle damage to determine the most effective PDR techniques and create repair plans accordingly
- Prepare work areas by cleaning and setting up necessary tools and equipment for each repair job
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, including before-and-after photos
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to quality standards
- Assist with estimating, RandI, adjuster visits or other tasks occasionally
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and workspaces are kept in safe, clean, and organized condition
Skills
- Proven experience in dealership settings or automotive repair shops with a focus on PDR techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and specialized dent removal equipment.
- Knowledge of sheet metal work, auto glass replacement, and auto estimating procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or when handling vehicle parts
- Familiarity with auto restoration projects and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Basic customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repair processes and outcomes
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of automotive systems and mechanics
