Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Group Leader to inspire and guide children and youth in a dynamic, engaging environment. Duties
- Lead and facilitate age-appropriate activities for children and youth, ensuring engagement and enjoyment
- Manage group behavior through effective behavior management strategies, promoting respectful interactions
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times
- Implement safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response plans
- Coordinate with team members to plan special events, camp activities, or youth group programs that align with developmental goals
- Maintain a clean, organized environment conducive to learning and play
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's participation and progress
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and knowledge of first aid protocols (or willingness to obtain)
- Background in special education or childhood development is preferred
- Experience facilitating youth group activities or sports coaching is advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle outdoor work responsibilities
- Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide others in a collaborative environment
