You'll play a key role in conducting psychological evaluations (educational and autism), collaborating during ARD meetings, and communicating evaluation results to inform support strategies. Counseling as a related service is a smaller aspect, primarily indirect and campus-dependent, offering a rich range of experiences throughout the week. The position is full-time, with a consistent 37.5-hour weekly schedule, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while maintaining work-life balance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active professional license as a School Psychologist
- Experience in PK-12 educational settings is highly preferred
- Expertise in completing initial and re-evaluations for special education
- Familiarity with the ARD process and indirect counseling services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to handle time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including fingerprinting and drug screening
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students across all grade levels
- Participate in ARD meetings, offering expertise for multi-disciplinary discussions
- Present evaluation findings clearly to staff and families
- Provide indirect counseling services as outlined in students’ IEPs
- Travel between school assignments within the district as needed
