Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for concrete, masonry, and general construction projects. This position will require strong organizational skills, the ability to read blueprints and specifications, and experience with project takeoffs and pricing.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specification, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete, masonry, and related scopes
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and project managers
- Track bid deadlines and maintain estimating records
- Assist with budgeting and value engineering opportunites
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on concrete projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of concrete and masonry construction methods
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards.
- Experience with estimating software is a plus
- Strong math and computer skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints accurately.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all work aspects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
