Overview
We are seeking a professional experienced Front Desk Assistant/Sales person to join our team in providing exceptional guest services at our hotel and support to our General Manager. The ideal candidate will have hospitality or customer service, some sales experience and a commitment to ensuring a positive experience for all guests. Person should be reliable to work a combo of weekdays 8:00am - 4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm and weekends during busy season to cover shifts.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide assistance with check-in and check-out processes.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
- Manage reservations and room assignments using hotel management software.
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Make outbound sales calls and work with island tourism to attract group bookings.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address guest needs promptly.
- Utilize phone systems effectively to manage calls and relay messages to guests or staff.
- Provide information about local attractions, dining options, and hotel amenities to enhance guest experiences.
- Assist in training new front desk staff as needed.
- Help with breakfast service and clean up.
- Support General Manager and Front Desk Manager.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a front desk or guest services role within the hospitality industry and some sales and management experience is a plus.
- Pleasant sales and customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Familiarity with hotel management software is an advantage; training will be provided as necessary.
- Excellent communication skills; multilingual abilities are a plus for interacting with diverse guests.
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations to help cover management.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing reservations and guest information.
- A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others create memorable experiences during their stay.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.37 - $24.51 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
